Must-haves for a cozy night in

Now that the days are shorter and the air is cooler it’s the perfect time to get all your cozy necessities together and transition from work mode to relax mode. Whether you’ve been working from home or commuting to your office, we all deserve a cozy night in.

In this post, I’ll be sharing my must-haves for a cozy night in, including the comfiest pj’s and the best comfort food to fully get you relaxed.

Throw blanket

You all have to admit that you can’t really get comfy and cozy without a soft blanket. It can be +30 degree’s and you’ll still find me wrapped in a blanket when I’m lounging on the sofa, there’s just something about the weight of it that makes me feel more relaxed. I’m sure you already own a few but I’ve linked my favourites anyways. They also make the best gifts. 😉

Candles that smell delicious

Nothing sets the mood like the scent of your favourite candle. I love something that smells a little “manly”, not in a creepy way but if you know you’re candles then you’ll know exactly what I mean! One of my all-time favourites is the Mahogony Teakwood from Bath and Body Works…If only they had stores in the U.K. I’m also obsessed with the Woodwick candles that I linked below. They last hours and the crackling of the wood wick is so relaxing. Whether your cozy night in includes a warm bubble bath or watching Netflix, a candle always helps set the mood.

Comfort food

It can be a 5-course meal or your favourite snacks but make sure there’s plenty to keep you snaking all night long. My go-to comfort food is definitely a cheeseboard with a bottle of red wine… Oh, I definitely meant a glass of red wine! If you need a bit of inspo, here’s my ultimate cheeseboard post.

Comfy from head to toe

The most important step is definitely getting in your comfiest outfit, whether that’s an old oversized t-shirt or a cute pair of pj’s. I’ve linked a few of my favourites here since you can never have too many comfy outfits…especially with winter coming up. I’m a sucker for silk pyjamas sets, layered with a fluffy robe and slippers.

Bubble bath and face masks

If a bubble bath is your thing to help you relax then definitely don’t skip it. Pop in a bath bomb and get your favourite book out. If you’ve never tried doing a sheet mask then check out the ones I linked below. I love how they don’t require the messy applying process but give you the same results.

Hot drink

I swear I’m not an alcoholic but I really do enjoy an alcoholic hot drink to really complete my cozy night-in. If you’ve never had mulled wine, then get yourself on Pinterest and make a pitcher. You can also get them already made, warm it up in a saucepan and voila! If alcohol isn’t your thing, nothing beats a cup of mint tea or hot chocolate overloaded with marshmallows.

Good books or Netflix

I was never a big reader until I downloaded the Kindle app on my Ipad, now I can’t seem to put it down. Click here to see what I’ve been reading. If reading isn’t your thing then I’m sure you can find some good content on Netflix. A few of my favourite series are Emily in Paris, Virgin River and Sweet Magnolias.

If you want to try the Kindle app with unlimited books, click on the image below to sign up for 30 days free. After the free trial, the monthly subscription is £7.99 for an unlimited amount of books. It’s definitely worth if you enjoy reading!
