I’m so excited to finally be able to share this amazing news with you all! Baby Gray is on the way. We couldn’t be happier and I can’t wait to have you all be part of this journey with us.
It’s so hard keeping a secret when all you want to do is scream of happiness and let the world know this amazing adventure that is about to begin and change our lives. As first-time parents, we decided the best thing for us was to wait a few weeks before letting everyone in on this secret.
Seeing your baby on the ultrasound screen for the first time definitely counts as one of the best days of our lives. I’m so excited to be a mom and can’t wait to see Gary become the best daddy!! If you’re reading this blog post then I’m guessing you might have a few questions so I’ll be answering a few today.
Were you trying and how long did it take?
We weren’t trying but not, not trying if that makes sense. It ended up taking over a year and a few bumpy rides along the way but we finally got here.
How we found out?
I had this weird feeling I was pregnant and was planning on having a few drinks over the weekend so I took a test and it was POSITIVE!!
Will you find out the gender?
We already know the gender!!
How did you tell your families?
My family is all the way in Canada so we told them over Facetime a few weeks after we found out. It was getting hard to hide when the symptoms started kicking in. As for Gary’s family, we got these scratch cards from Amazon. It was quite funny seeing his parents scratch the cards and wonder why it said “we’re having a baby”.
How far along are you?
Im currently 14 weeks pregnant.
Do we have a name picked out?
We have a list of names we like for both boys and girls but not set on one yet and open to finding new ones. We both like traditional names but not too popular.
I love reading these types of post on other blogs, even more now that I’m pregnant and have a bunch of questions that need answering. I will be doing a separate post sharing everything about my first trimester so if you have any questions, leave them in the comments below.
